11/21/2017 Check out this article from our President... "Lawsuits meant to help fish are actually hurting them". http://www.tri-cityherald.com/opinion/opn-columns-blogs/article185141758.html

11/15/2017 Pay Update - We are waiting for BPA's numbers to complete our survey. BPA is waiting on Seattle City Lights numbers to complete their survey ... Once SCL settles their negotiations, the rest of this process should go quickly. Wage and Salary Division is very responsive to us and they want this completed as well. Thanks for your patience.

10-16-17 Election - the official results of the United Power Trades Organization (UPTO) supervised election. Treasurer - Summer Dellamater 63, Jake Chambers 122 / Lower Columbia VP - Ron Brubaugh 33, Dan Rice 31.

9-11-17 Please see instructions for receiving a ballot if you did not receive one in the mail. Ballot Instructions

8-22-17 No update on pay ... still waiting for numbers from BPA. See below.

6-14-17 Wage Update from BPA - "We are still waiting for one of the utilities, Seattle City Lights, to complete negotiations before we have the final rates." As soon as that is done, Wage and Salary will calculate our new pay schedule. No sure date at this time.

5-9-17 Wage Survey Trip (May 1-4) - In our meeting with BOR, their comparable employees at the three locations we survey all gave an increase. In our meeting with BPA, they stated they will be giving an increase retroactively to March 5th, 2017.  BPA is getting an interim raise at this time which is an increase so hopefully the final numbers will be even better. So for now, Wage and Salary will wait until BPA finalizes their raise before completing our schedule.

3-14-17 Our Wage Survey will begin in May. A representative from Wage and Salary will survey BPA and BOR for their current wages and number of workers in each trade. When both surveys are complete, they will calculate the average of both agencies for each grade and compile our pay chart.  This will probably not happen by June 1st but if either of the other agencies get retroactive pay back to that date, we will also get back pay.
